The dog days of summer are coming – and have we got a great way to beat the heat: a fully renovated Village at Cheshire Bridge! The front and back of the house – including the grooming spa! – has gotten a facelift with a new lobby and upgraded suites.

But wait, there’s more!

As part of the ongoing renovations Barking Hound Village is making for our furry family, we also have additional play yards and have installed the best artificial turf in the doggie daycare industry. This means muddy (or smelly) paws are out with the old. In is 2,500 feet of new turf, which is softer to the paw touch – just another example of how we never stop thinking about how to pamper the pooches!

Why new turf? Well, the grass is always luscious with no weeds, brown spots, dust, or mud. Bottom line: Your dog stays cleaner. As we examined our space, keeping an inviting and clean play area was foremost in our thinking.

This professionally installed artificial turf checked all the boxes. The peace of mind dog owners have after choosing Barking Hound Village is always a factor for our team members. We know the value of BHV is a combination of location, staff, accommodations, and dog’s overall health.

“How” our Village looks speak to our desire to have an enhanced, comfortable space; the turf looks great and, we believe, will help give you the mindset, “Yes, this is where I want my dog to stay until I return.” (And remember: When you join BHV, your dog’s first daycare is free!)

The cleanliness and comfort of the new turf also reduce stress on your pet’s joints and paws. The artificial grass also is hypoallergenic; dogs with allergies – especially those that are sensitive to grass – will enjoy our new turf with no concern of having an allergic reaction.

From the BHV perspective, the turf will reduce our maintenance time. This means more time on the grass for the dogs. There’s also less clean-up time; liquid waste passes through the grass (it does not puddle!) and is whisked away into the underlying rubber pellets. We also do not have to mow or seed the grass. Again, more playtime for the pups! (And while no one wants to talk about it, we also do not have to fertilize or use lawn chemicals on the artificial grass.)

At the end of the day, our new grass means less work for us and more time enjoying the turf for the dogs. Beyond that, your pup’s paws stay cleaner – as do our Village floors, mats, and cages. For BHV, we believe the benefits will further increase customer satisfaction, and, hopefully, you’ll share your experience with family and friends.

After all, we can honestly say the grass is greener at Barking Hound Village!
