We're BHV and we love dogs

Barking Hound Village has cared for others’ dogs, as if they were our own, since 1999.

Founder David York searched high and low to find a place where he could board family member, Sophie one summer in ‘98. When he couldn’t find just the “right” facility, he created his own – from scratch – with all the care, attention-to-detail and loving support that Sophie was accustomed to. And now, nearly a decade later, BHV continues to care for many of the same dogs as adults that were mere pups back then because of the love and trust developed with their families.

A pioneer in the industry, Barking Hound Village sets today’s standard for Atlanta’s doggie daycare and boarding as the most award-winning institution to-date. And in that leadership role, David and Sophie created the Barking Hound Village Foundation to work with rescue groups such as Atlanta Pet Rescue, Atlanta Humane Society, Adopt-a-Golden, New Leash on Life and Fulton County Animal Services (which BHVF began operating in March, 2008). We are dedicated to improving the lives of homeless companion animals through these organizations.

So, visit one of our locations today when your family member needs a vacation or just a day away from the couch. We’ll pamper your pooch with the same devotion we give our own pets so they'll wag a lot. And remember, at Barking Hound Village, we’re making the world a happier place – one dog at a time!
